This is a Vespa World Club international event for its members. Financial members of our affiliated Australian clubs are members of the Vespa Club of Australia and the Vespa World Club.

This event coincides with the 80th anniverasary of the Vespa motor scooter and so Rome, the ‘eternal city’, has been chosen as a symbolic venue for the celebration. The Foro Italico area is in the heart of the city adjacent to Stadio Olimpia on the River Tiber. This will be unlike any previous World Days event. It’s being driven by Piaggio, and not only by a local club. It is expected to have a huge attendance (the Vespa Club of Italy alone has 95,000 members) so many of the usual VWD arrangements will be impractical to organize. For example, it will not include the traditional Gala Dinner for attendees. We’re advised that the event is being limited to 15,000 at the request of Italian authorities.

There are short timelines and strong international demand for tickets. Not everyone is going to get a ticket and not everyone will get all that they want. There is a quota system / cap for each country to enable fair access to the event for all National clubs. After the initial ticket upload, unused national quotas will then be redistributed to those on any waiting lists. We have seen the quota figure for VC Australia and we regard it as ‘reasonable’.

AUD ticket prices are set to include the ticket price in Euro, European VAT, currency conversion, transfer fees, and paypal and card fees. There isn’t a Lite Ticket category.

The Vespa Club of Australia will open pre-registrations with payment on: We will close this on:

The Vespa World Club ticketing portal will open up to all National Clubs on: and we will load up all the verified applications on that date. It’s important to be in that initial upload as it’s expected that all tickets will be allocated quickly and according to the quota system within a couple of days.

We will (Date TBC) call for Applications to Register, along with payment in advance, from our members around Australia. You’ll receive a confirmation of your application, and also a receipt for your card payment.

We will then verify the membership of each application with the President of the relevant local Australian Club. The VWC asks that you be a member of ‘good standing’, and we’re obliged to act fairly on behalf of our established members. Given that there’s a quota for full tickets we’ll prioritize our longer term members and we’ll enter them on the VWC portal in the order received. People who have newly joined as members just to attend this event will be entered last. Unverified applications will be cancelled and refunded.

The application must be a definite commitment that you will attend, and will include payment to us in advance. It’s not an ‘Expression of Interest’. Once we move forward there won’t be a refund process and your ticket won’t be transferable.

One financial membership means one ticket. There’s no provision for the purchase of multiple tickets for partners, family or friends.

You provide us with an email address that you check regularly, and it’s the one to which you ultimately want your ticket to be sent. We may need to communicate with you within short response timelines. We can’t be responsible if you miss a deadline.

On (Date TBC). We will upload the Australian applications onto the VWC ticket portal. The Rome organizers will then review all applications, and unoccupied quota places will be reallocated to any on the international waiting list in the order they were lodged world wide. National Presidents will then be asked by the organizers to again verify and sign-off the applications.

By (Date TBC). The Rome organizers, through us, will confirm your registration as included (or not included) in the available tickets. We then will bulk transfer all paid monies. Once your name is posted on the VWC ticket portal an international transfer is deemed to be owed or have taken place. There is NO REFUND available to you, and your ticket is not transferable to another person.

Tickets are usually bulk emailed to us as the National club in weeks prior to event, and we then re-distribute to you via that email address you provided. You’ll need to present the ticket at the venue in Rome along with your Passport as ID.

The Vespa Club of Australia is here to work on behalf of its members. We make no profit from these transactions. Arrangements for flights and international travel are of course your own responsibility and all bookings at your own risk.
